Moez Dardouri - SALF President

Asma ِAbdullatif Alderaa, PT, MSc, Phd, CLT

SALF President
Is an assistant professor at King Saud University (KSU), Saudi Arabia. She is a neuro and lymphatic rehabilitation consultant at the outpatient clinic in the College of Applied Medical Science at KSU. Asma is a physiotherapist with an extensive clinical and academic experience. She obtained her MSc in Rehabilitation Therapy from St. George’s University in London and completed her PhD in Medicine from Nottingham University, UK. She is the founder and president of the Saudi Arabia Lymphoedema Framework (SALF), which joined the International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF) in 2021. Head of the SALF subgroup in the Saudi Physical Therapy Association. (SPTA). She frequently speaks at national and international conferences and is a passionate researcher in the field of neuro and lymphatic rehabilitation, with a special interest in multiple sclerosis, lymphoedema, lipoedema and related disorders. In addition, she has been contributing to community service through clinical work and community health education.

Nouf Mohammed Aldhwayan, PT, MSc, CLT

Outpatient Supervisor of the Physical Rehabilitation Department, at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Has her master's degree in health care management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2010. Official Instructor of the Academy of Lymphatic studies in Gulf region. Oncology lead of the International Physiotherapists in HIV/AIDS, Oncology, and Hospice & Palliative Care. Head of Oncology Subgroup in the Saudi Physical Therapy Association. (SPTA). Co-Founder of Zahra Breast Cancer Association, Board member and treasurer of the board.

Join King Abdulaziz Medical City as Physical Therapist in 2006. Graduated from king Saud University, master's degree in physical therapy science, 2018. Specialized in the Lymphedema Rehabilitation, 2008. Certified in the Manual Therapy from different institutions in 2009, 2012, 2016, 2018. Certified in Osteopathy Medicine field in 2014. Certified in the Dry Needling in 2019. Assigned as Program Director for Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy Residency Program at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh (2023-now).

Suzana Naser Al Hujelan, PT

Chair of Media and Website Committee
Physical therapist with a strong passion for humanitarian work, community service, and rehabilitation. She has led and participated in numerous initiatives, both nationally and internationally, focused on healthcare accessibility, public well being, and supporting underserved communities. Her humanitarian efforts include organizing and contributing to large scale relief projects, such as one of the largest aid missions for those affected by the devastating earthquakes. She also took part in sustainable aid projects aimed at providing clean food, gas, and energy solutions to improve daily living conditions for underserved populations in Africa. Through her work, she strives to promote awareness about lymphoedema and improving rehabilitation services to ensure individuals receive the care and support they need for better quality of life.

Dr. Feras Alshomer MD, MSc., SB-Plast

Chair of research committee
Dr. Feras Alshomer is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in lymphedema reconstructive surgery. He currently serves as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at King Abdulaziz Medical City and as the Director of Healthcare Artificial Intelligence at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs. Dr. Alshomer is a dedicated surgeon-scientist with an MSc in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, and a distinguished academic track record that includes over 50 peer-reviewed publications and books chapters, 3 US registered patents, and 1 authored textbook, in the fields of microsurgery, regenerative medicine, and medical technology innovation. His work bridges surgical expertise with cutting-edge research and healthtech innovation, contributing meaningfully to both clinical practice and academic advancement.

Hanoof Alrowaithy A Legal Consultant specializing in International Law, holding an LL.M. from the United States of America. She has experience in the fields of governance and international regulations and is passionate about humanitarian initiatives that promote awareness and social responsibility. She believes in the importance of volunteer work and its role in creating a positive and sustainable impact, having participated in numerous voluntary and humanitarian activities both within the Kingdom and abroad. Her goal is to raise awareness about lymphedema through her personal experience, actively share her voice, and contribute to achieving the mission and objectives of SALF.

Dr. Musaad H. AlHamzah, MD

Board Member
An American- and Canadian-Board certified Vascular Surgeon, and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He graduated from King Saud University College of Medicine in Riyadh. He completed a master's degree in public health from the University of Miami 2013. He then moved to Canada where he completed his specialty training in Vascular Surgery at the University of Toronto, followed by an Advanced Vascular and Endovascular Fellowship, focusing most on advanced aortic and peripheral interventions for limb salvage. Since 2020, he has been a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at King Saud University, and the Director of the Non-invasive Vascular Laboratory at the King Saud University Medical City.

A professor in rehabilitation health science department in king Saud university and Cairo university. He is a certified lymphedema therapist and certified as consultant physical therapist for Egyptian Physical Therapy Syndicate.
